When is a feed stale?
Green · Current: the recorder heartbeat is less than 2 minutes old, the feed is connected, messages are arriving and no write failure is reported.
Orange · Delayed: no recorder heartbeat for 2–5 minutes, a pending or failed data write, or no messages for 2 minutes on TFMS / 5 minutes on supplemental feeds. A quiet feed is a warning, not proof of an outage.
Red · Interrupted: the recorder reports a disconnect, its heartbeat is at least 5 minutes old, or a pending data write has been blocked for at least 5 minutes. Unavailable means we cannot check health, including during a database outage.
Health reports are sent every 30 seconds. This page checks every 30 seconds while visible. All timestamps above are UTC. A successful write may contain repeated data; it does not mean every flight received a new estimate. Stream heartbeats count as incoming messages, even when they contain no flight observation. Individual flight and D-ATIS timestamps still determine their freshness.
This page is a status display, not an automatic email alert. Thresholds are initial operating settings and can be adjusted after observing each feed.
